LANDSCAPE DESIGNER & SALES

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will be involved in all aspects of project development, sales and design, including presentation preparation, schematic design, planting plans, tree tagging, planting specifications, and project administration.

Essential Functions:

  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required
  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project
  • Develop, review, and implement construction documents, project budgets, and schedules
  • Prepares site plans, working drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for land development, showing ground contours, vegetation, locations of structures, and such facilities as roads, walks, parking areas, fences, walls, and utilities, coordinating arrangement of existing and proposed land features
  • Preparation of cost estimates, including project research, alternates and quality take offs
  • Participates in regularly scheduled project meetings
  • Maintains relationships with owners, consultants, and employees at all levels
  • Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel
  • Reviews and understands assignments and tasks and how they fit into strategic project goals

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture Design and/or 1-3 years of professional experience
  • Prior customer service and/or sales experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in current technologies: AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office is preferred but not required
  • Asks thoughtful and relevant questions, strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to produce strong graphic communications (computer and/or by hand)
  • Field experience and horticultural knowledge is a must
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
  • Valid Ohio Driver License a must

HARDSCAPE CREW LEADER

As a hardscape crew leader, you’ll be responsible to train and lead teams in installation of paver patios, natural stone, and segmental block retaining walls. You’ll also serve as a liaison between customers and coworkers, including management and design staff, while maintaining a professional, helpful, friendly attitude.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read landscape designs
  • Ability to install landscape features
  • 3+ years of experience in hardscape materials and installation
  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience operating heavy equipment including Bobcat, Dingo, forklifts, and tillers
  • Knowledge of grading and elevation
  • Attention to detail
  • Leadership skills
  • Professional image
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL a plus)

As a crew leader, you’ll be responsible to train and lead teams while maintaining project schedules. You’ll also serve as a liaison between customers and coworkers, including management and design staff, while maintaining a professional, helpful, friendly attitude.

  • 2-3 years of experience in landscaping
  • Working knowledge of trees, shrubs, and landscape installation
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL a plus)
