Taxodium | Bald Cypress

This large, long-lived, deciduous conifer can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions. Trunks are often butressed at the base with age, and roots often develop distinctive "knees" in wet conditions. Soft, feathery foliage turns orange-brown in fall.
